Finance Department
The Finance Department manages all Village funds and is responsible for leading the Village's annual budget and audit processes. Services include budget development, accounting services, treasury management (investments), Village payroll services, accounts payable/accounts receivable, purchasing, water billing and cashiering, risk management, and oversees a customer service representative who provides helpful information to visitors and residents who call or visit the Village Hall.
The Finance Department produces various financial reports on a monthly and annual basis. These reports provide valuable information regarding the status of the Village's financials to the Village Board and staff. The department also prepares the annual Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for a five-year period beginning with the next fiscal year. The CIP is a planning document which includes capital expenditures projected to cost over $10,000 and have an expected lifetime of one or more years.

Hotel and Food & Beverage Tax Information
The Village of Arlington Heights imposes a one and one quarter percent tax on the sale of prepared food and beverages, with the exception of Alfresco zoned restaurants which imposes a two percent food and beverage tax.
All retail businesses are required to summit a completed Prepared Food and Beverage Tax Form prior to the opening of a business. For further information, please read Chapter 11 Article VIII of the Arlington Heights Municipal Code regarding Food & Beverage Taxes.Prepared Food and Beverage Taxes are due monthly. Payment must be made to the Village by the 20th of each month for the preceding month. Payment received after the due date will be charged a late penalty of 10% of the unpaid tax per month. When making your payment, please attach a copy of your Illinois Department of Revenue form ST-1 and your check payable to the Village of Arlington Heights along with your Prepared Food and Beverage Tax Return.
