Investing in Illinois - Nicor Gas Enhancements

The Village has been notified that Nicor will begin their multi-year Natural Gas Line Improvement Project beginning Tuesday, September 19^th. For complete information about this project, addresses affected, and Nicor contact information, see Nicor's Project Flyer.

This Nicor project includes two different components that may impact affected residents including:

Gas Main Improvements
This project will impact roadways and parkways of the affected areas, as underground natural gas mains will be improved. Nicor Gas, or one of its contractors, will restore landscaping and paving impacted by our construction to the condition in which we found it. Temporary restoration of some areas may be necessary until permanent restoration can be completed.
Gas Meter Relocation
This project will also require any gas meters currently located inside of resident homes to be moved to an external location. Affected residences are listed on the Nicor Project Flyer. While this will be an ongoing project, only a small population or Arlington Heights residents will be impacted.
