The Governor’s extended Stay-at-Home Order through May 30th requires everyone over the age of 2 and able to medically tolerate a face covering, to cover their nose and mouth “when in a public place and unable to maintain a six-foot social distance. Face coverings are required in public indoor spaces such as stores.”
Individuals with a medical condition that precludes them from wearing a face covering will be exempt.
Below is a list of when to consider wear a face covering, which residents can make at home if they are unable to purchase any. Shopping at essential businesses, like grocery stores or pharmacies,
- Picking up food from the drive thru or curbside pickup,
- While visiting your health care provider,
- Traveling on public transportation,
- Interacting with customers, clients, or coworkers at essential businesses,
- Performing essential services for state and local government agencies, such as laboratory testing, where close interactions with other people are unavoidable, and
- When feeling sick, coughing, or sneezing
