Village Manager


Randall Recklaus was appointed as Village Manager in 2014 by the Village Board.
 His role as Village Manager is to provide overall direction and administration of policies and programs established by the Village Board. He provides leadership to the staff in all departments to ensure the delivery of high-quality, customer-service oriented programs, while always being mindful of the impact on our citizens. 

Prior to coming to Arlington Heights, Mr. Recklaus, was the Village Manager of Clarendon Hills. Prior to Clarendon Hills, he worked as Assistant City Administrator for the City of Batavia, for the City of St. Charles from as Service Efforts and Accomplishments Program Coordinator, and served as an elected official on the DeKalb County Board.

Randy's experience in all aspects of municipal management provides a strong foundation as Arlington Heights’ fifth Village Manager in the more than 60 years of the Village’s Council-Manager form of government. In his years as a municipal leader, Randy has many accomplishments in the areas of fiscal responsibility, intergovernmental cooperation, economic development, human resources management, municipal-process improvement, communications and public outreach. 

Randy’s educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government from Northern Illinois University, and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Urban Management.

Some Meeting Rooms are available for the public to reserve for a meeting, provided the group planning the meeting is from another Village governmental agency, is a non-profit organization primarily based in Arlington Heights, or organizations comprised predominately of either Village residents or business owners or both. ...that the Village does not oversee the Park District or Library?
The Arlington Heights Park District and Arlington Heights Memorial Library are two separate governmental entities. The Village has no jurisdiction over the policies and programs for the Park District or the Library.
