Project Description
Street Reconstruction - At this stage of deterioration, the curb and gutter is no longer functioning properly, subbase failure is observed, and the main part of the street is in poor condition. The entire street is removed down to the subgrade including the curb and gutter. The curb and gutter is installed and the street is replaced with full-depth asphalt. This project may also require grade changes so the driveway approaches are completely removed and replaced from the sidewalk to the curb. This project also includes intermittent sidewalk and drainage structure repair.

The 2024 MFT Street Reconstruction project is currently in the design phase. Staff anticipates bidding the project in late March or early April 2024. Once the contract has been awarded a list of streets will be posted on the website.

PRINCETON AVE AND LEONA TERRACE UPDATE
Sod installation was on completed on October 2, 2023.
Watering the sod (up to 16 watering days in the first 30 days) to establish the root system is included in the cost of the contract. However, we do ask for resident cooperation so the sod will flourish and additional watering is always appreciated. Please do not cut your new sod or fertilize until the root system has been established, which is approximately 14 days. Please cut new sod at a high height of three inches for the season. This will help your new sod grow and stay healthy.
Per contract specifications, after 30 days from sod installation, the Village will perform a final inspection to ensure the sod has taken root and is thriving. Once the sod has passed final inspection, the contractor has fulfilled their contractual obligation and maintenance of the parkway will revert back to the homeowner.
CHAMPLAIN ST UPDATE
