The Village of Arlington Heights takes the safety and protection of our residents & businesses to heart. The goal of our Public Safety Services is to provide you with as much information as possible so that you can stay well informed via notifications through Reverse 911, to "hot crime" maps in the area. We are thankful to provide our community with professional Fire, Police and Medical Emergency services as well as the opportunity to learn CPR and join our Citizen Police Academy; and we are thankful to you for making the 'city of good neighbors' great.

The Arlington Heights Police Department, with the support of Crime Stoppers Inc., is contracting with Citizen Observer to instantly provide residents and businesses with crime alerts and prevention information through email and text messaging.
- Citizen Alerts inform all registered users of public safety concerns in your area. The Alerts contain information about crime trends, descriptions of suspects, missing persons, as well as advice on personal safety, and how to safeguard property.
- Business Alerts are targeted to specific business types, so your business will receive information about crimes that are pertinent to you and your employees.
- Case Alerts allow law enforcement to automatically disseminate information about active investigations to all registered Citizen Observer users.
- Watch Group Alerts allow law enforcement to send targeted alerts to specific neighborhoods with information about crimes that are happening in their immediate area.
Get alerts for emergencies and other important community news by signing up for the Citizen Alert program serving Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove Village, Hoffman Estates, Inverness, Mount Prospect, Palatine, Prospect Heights, Rolling Meadows, Schaumburg and Streamwood. The emergency notification system enables your Community to provide you with critical information quickly in a variety of situations, such as severe weather occurrences, critical road closures, missing persons, and the potential evacuation of buildings or neighborhoods. Some Communities have opted to share even more updates, be sure to check with you municipality for addition information.
